Anyone who has seen the beautiful kanji (Chinese characters) with fish radicals in Japanese restaurants or food stores probably wonders what they mean. Which fish does that kanji refer to? And what kind of fish is that?

This little app helps you match fish and the fish kanji characters. The app features more than a hundred of fish kanji, provides fish names and a brief description on each fish, and also gives you quizzes to test how many you remember correctly, all in both English and Japanese.
